on friday me and my wife evie attended the inaugural Nebraska Indie Games Expo, hosted by the University of Nebraska Omaha. i submitted our game BITCH HELL to this expo back in early April and was honestly surprised to see us accepted, especially with our game being... like that. but we were put into the running for the Nebraska Indie Games Expo Commercial Game of the Year award!

we brought a bunch of props and crap to display at our allocated table space (which you can see in the photo above), including a broken VCR and a CCTV security monitor (a CRT TV) that was hooked up to a Steam Deck, running an arcade-style attract video. we also had a few CDs to sell, which contained BITCH HELL and several other games we've made.

and wouldn't you know it, we won the damn award! so i guess that means that BITCH HELL is now an AWARD WINNING VIDEO GAME and me and evie are now AWARD WINNING VIDEO GAME DEVELOPERS? weird. weird weird weird.

it was an incredibly fun experience, though! i had such a good a time meeting everyone and seeing everyone else's games. however i do have severe imposter syndrome about the whole thing, despite it being a small award from a tiny university event, lol. i dunno. at any rate...
