i'm really gonna miss that goddamn website.

i hate feeling so melancholy over something as simple as a website shutting down, but i met so many cool people there and made great friendships, i can't help but feel sad.

i don't have much to say beyond that. i hope everybody lands on their feet and finds new spaces (both online and offline) that make them feel welcome. there are some discord servers popping up and people are talking about RSS feeds, forums and webrings, and i hope even a fraction of that pans out.

after seeing the site go, i'm a bit cynical about the potential for new spaces to spring up so quickly. but we have to build it ourselves, i guess.
